Hi,
I’m David Demaison, founder of DDNPD. I am a New Product Development (NPD) expert with over 26 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, spanning third-party catering, fine dining, and FMCG product development across the globe.
My passion for food innovation began in my grandparents’ bakery in Southwest France, where I developed a lifelong appreciation for craftsmanship, quality, and creativity—values that continue to guide every project I undertake.
Michelin-Starred Foundations & Culinary Excellence
My culinary journey was shaped by years spent in some of France and Monte-Carlo’s most prestigious Michelin-starred restaurants, including Louis XV (3 Michelin Stars) by Alain Ducasse.
Working with Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (MOF) and under globally renowned chefs, I honed an obsession for detail, artistry, and technical excellence. These experiences continue to influence my approach to new product development for the food industry, ensuring every project delivers world-class quality.
Innovation Leadership at Hotel Chocolat
During my tenure at Hotel Chocolat, I led the creation of several of the brand’s most successful innovations, including:
• The Velvetiser
• The Chocolate Cream Liqueur range
• Jersey Dairy Ice Cream
• A full café bakery line
• An exclusive cocktail collection
In addition to in-house innovation, I’ve worked with luxury hotels, restaurants, and third-party brands to craft bespoke menus and tailored products that reflect distinction, value, and creativity.
Food NPD Consulting with Global Insight
With over 15 years of focused experience in food and beverage private label development, I now specialise in food and drinks NPD consulting, guiding brands through the entire new product development process—from concept to launch.
My journey spans artisanal startups to global FMCG product development projects, giving me insight into consumer behaviour, market trends, and the demands of fast-moving industries.
